A family tree is a visual representation of your family history, showing how different generations are connected. While many people think of a family tree as simply a collection of names and relationships, it can include a wealth of information about the lives of your ancestors.

Depending on your preferences, a family tree can display details such as dates and places of birth, marriage and death, occupations, military service, and even causes of death. Additional information can also be included to highlight significant events, family connections, or interesting discoveries made during the research process.

Every family tree I create is tailored to the individual client. Some people prefer a simple chart showing key dates and relationships, while others would like a more detailed presentation that incorporates more detailed information. Whether you are looking for a concise overview of your ancestry or a detailed record to preserve and share with future generations, the design and content can be adapted to suit your needs.

Family trees are available in a range of formats, from digital charts and printed displays to more comprehensive family history presentations, allowing you to choose the option that best suits your family and the way you would like your research presented.

This package focuses on identifying and documenting and direct ancestors up to Great-Grandparents (four generations)

As part of this package, you will recieve a display-ready family tree chart an ancestor information report providing details of all Birth, Marriages & Deaths of ancestors on the direct family line.

Free initial research consultation
Research plan with agreed objectives and estimated timescale
Research Information Report with full source citations
One high-quality A3 sized family tree print out in the style of your choice - additional copies available to purchase separately
Recommendations for further research where appropriate
The option of a follow-up call or recorded presentation of the research findings

Your research findings will be presented in a research report documenting the information and family connections identified during the research, providing a permanent record of your family's history.

The report aims to include information on:

Births
Marriages
Deaths
Causes of death
Occupations
Information from Census entries

The report is divided into chapters by generation, making it easy to follow your family line through time. Each ancestor and family group is clearly presented, with key information such as births, marriages, deaths, occupations and places of residence discovered during the research.

Deposit:

A Retainer Deposit of 50% of the package cost is required to secure your project's place in my research schedule. This is then deducted from the total project fee, with the remaining balance payable before the completed report and/or documents are issued.

Please Note:

These packages are designed to achieve the stated research objective rather than provide a fixed number of research hours. Whilst every effort will be made to identify ancestors to the generations outlined above, genealogical research is dependent upon the survival and availability of historical records. Where additional research is required due to missing records, migration, overseas research, illegitimacy, name changes, or other complexities, recommendations will be provided and further research can be commissioned separately

Additional research may be commissioned in 5-hour blocks at £150 per block

Birth, marriage and death certificates, archive copies and other paid records are chargeable at cost and subject to availability.
